Recipe: Overnight Protein Oats

I know a lot of people skip breakfast due to their on the go lifestyle, want that extra time in bed or just don’t feel hungry in the morning (then end up ravenous and over-eating on their lunch). Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it gives your body and metabolism a kick start!

 

How do we get around this? Prepare it the night before! The great thing about oats is that they can be complimented with so much and changed up everyday. It really doesn’t have to be boring. Our P&P Overnight Protein Oats are a perfect and simple way to start your day, packed full of complex carbohydrates and low GI to help keep you fuller for longer.

 

Ingredients:

  • P&P Protein Porridge
  • Milk Of Choice (Normal, Oat, Soy, Almond etc.)
  • Cinnamon Powder
  • Vanilla Essence
  • Maple Syrup or Honey

Method:

In a leak-proof tupperware, add P&P Protein Oats (approx 60g) and top it with milk till it is just covering the oats. Add a dusting of cinnamon powder along with a dash of vanilla extract, a little honey or maple and stir well. Cover the tupperware and leave overnight in the fridge. In the morning, add your choice of toppings (I love mine with P&P Organic Peanut Butter & frozen blueberries) and you are good to go! It is that simple…
